If there was a creep about, it does not react to any of the sounds. Tathlyn leads you on, quietly bypassing the heaps of bones. Then he suddenly stops in mid-stride, pointing at something straight ahead. At the exit of the bridge you are walking upon, a largs skull floats in the air, about 6 feet off the ground.

Korach gives Tathkyn a questioning look and points at his axe.

The scout readies an arrow, but Paval signals the two to stop. He scans the bridge for a suitable specimen, then quietly chants a paryer to his goddess, while placing a coin in the mouth of a skull. A few moments later, the skeleton of a dwarven warrior stands in front of him, waraxe and shield in hand. A few pieces of a once proud chainmail clings to the bones, a half-split helmet adorns the bare skull. Paval utters a short command and the skeleton lumbers towards the floating skull, axe raised and a silent cry on its non-existing lips. As the attacker draws his axe back to smash the skull, it explodes nigh soundlessly into a cloud of bone-shards, dust and dirt. While hitting the skeleton, it does nigh to no damage. The skeleton stands at the spot of the floating skull, looking for any opponents, but seems to find none.

"A trap," says Tathlyn, stating the obvious. "It will get more interesting from now on, I would assume."

As you proceed to the end of the bridge, some sort of ruined city is being revealed by the retreating darkness. On shorn-off stalagmites, crude (i.e. dwarven) building come into view. Few sport windows or doors, but those few that can be seen are torn open or smashed apart. A few skeleton lie about too, yet most of them have been grounded to near dust by something that trampled over them. The ground is flat and covered by dust und debris, you can spot all sorts of tracks, but it is hard to say how old they are.

When they enter the city Korach speak a command word that makes his shield float at his side.

Amongst the buildings, a wavering light comes slowly into view, casting reflections on polished columns and walls.  The sound of murmuring voices becomes audible too, much like a procession coming your way.

Korach wouldn't mind staying where he is but he is ready to get to into hiding (as well as he could, that is), maybe inside one of the builidings if Paval or Tathlyn decide that hinding would be the best way.

Tathlyn says quietly: "Hiding in these unknown rooms might be dangerous, for we do not know what sort of creep lair here. If we retreat a bit back down the bridge, we can force any attackers into a smaller frontline than what would suit them. Perhaps we retreat a bit and leave the skeleton as the sole enemy for this procession to engage?"
Paval nods to that. "Thus we can see what we may or may not face. It could well be that these are simply sword-fodder for the true residents?" He turns on his heels and move to the skeleton, silently casting another spell. Once he's finished, flames leap from the bones and hang about the dwarven warrior skeleton, giving him a grim appearance. Then the drow retreats a few paces down the bridge and looks for some decent cover. Zhadristan, not having left the bridge as yet, follows him.
