An old tradition (Anzeigen)The little shrine for the kitsune was at the outskirts of Inaba as long as anybody can remember. Its hidden in a little, but old wood. It's always in good shape and sometimes one can even see a fox near it. Old folk make little donations to avoid getting caught in pranks or mischief, adults visit to pray for luck, guidance or just as tradition, young ones come to play. Often there are other children or docile animals.
A not well known and not believed by everyone one can pray and make an offering for success in getting closer to a loved one. At least, if you get a charm from there.
Once in a while a very young miko, a child even, takes care of the shrine and the visitors. Reserved and with good manners her speech, cloths and customs are out of place, but she also is very knowledgeable. Some of the old folk aren't sure, if she might even be the same every time, but who would question something in connection with the fox? Most people tend to believe that there is a family or order, which send their apprentices over for the small tasks that are to be done here.
The miko and the adult (Anzeigen)Several years ago a middle-aged woman visited the fox-shrine. She was in a terrible mood and didn't know how to go on. The miko tried to get a talk with her, but she avoided her, as if she reminds her of something very sad. So the woman left and the miko didn't know how to help. She followed her and asked others about her. After she got the picture, she tried to send her pleasant dreams, but it only avoided the worst and only for a while. The miko was devastated in her helplessness. Back at her shrine she wanted to ask her friends for advice, but found a young dog cub. First she liked the thought to help him finding his ways in the community, but then another idea struck her: The woman needed something to do and to love. Maybe this was the answer for the prayers. The miko took the cub and brought him to the woman. It worked and the woman got better while the cub became a stout teenager. She also became more susceptible to the dreams.
Later the dog and the fox-miko became friends. They talked to each other and while the miko explained a lot, the dog took care of things in the community. One time the miko got into trouble because she looked like a child. Some adults, especially the director of the school and the policeman worried about this child without any adult around and not going to school. Nobody even could explain to them, where she lives beside the shrine. They came to her and tried to reason with her, but she refused. Her odd and old manners and speech made it even worse, they weren't sure if she was raised properly. Then a teenager, nearly resembling a young adult came and declared, that he is taking care of her together with his family. It took the adults a while to accept it, but at least the teenagers words were understandable and he looked serious and dependable. They backed down and left without the child-miko. She thanked her new-found guardian for the help.
The fox and the hare (Anzeigen)A little girl had met a group of friends and played with them. When they talked about seeing each other again the next day, they mentioned a gorgeous playground between a group of trees in the outskirts of Inaba. When she followed them there, they entered the little, but thick forest. It was a nice change, but in its mayestic way a bit frightening. But the girl had her friends with her, so she entered, too. After a short while, they reached a little shrine, dedicated to the foxes. There was enough room for a lot of games and they even had some peaceful animals to play with. Once or twice some adults came and prayed, so they didn't disturb them. Then a delivery man came with tons of fresh food. He gave it all to the children and animals without wanting anything in return. Instead, he held one soup back and circled around the shrine. The little girl got curious and followed. She saw that he gave it to a child-miko while getting the money for all the food in return. After he left she approached the lonely girl. She behaved strange and aloof, but had a caring heart. So the little girl get to know her beside all the troubles they had like misunderstandings and such. The hare was invited by the fox to visit the shrine often and get to be cared. The little girl agreed and brought a lot of fun with her. After a while even the miko-girl was swayed to participate in the games or visit the town with her.
A liar and a temptress (Anzeigen)Foreign tourists are a rare species seen in Inaba and especially when it comes to visit the shrine. And this one time was memorable. Somewhere around midday this young family of four found the shrine by accident. They found it a pleasant surprise. "Ein alter Tempel, nicht mehr genutzt und extra für Gäste hergerichtet, wie schön", expressed the mother and the father agreed. They read the emas and commented: "Wie authentisch!", while the children ran around and checked every nook and cranny. The boy nearly toppled one of the statues. "Vorsicht, nicht das du dich verletzt!", his mother warned him. "Oh, schau mal, eine Cosplayerin!", the father exclaimed as the child-miko emerged. "Verstehst du, was sie sagt?" "Nein, ihr japanisch klingt seltsam, nicht dass ich es könnte.", laughed he. It wasn't easy for the fox-miko to hold her composure while they ignored her welcoming words and her warnings. As the boy began to touch her, she shuddered. Then the girl found the offerings: "Mama, Papa, sie haben originales Essen hier! Mmh - Lecker!" "Das ist wirklich nett." "Danke.", they told the girl-miko while taking parts of the food. She tried to be calm and patient, but they didn't stop. "Hey Papa, mach ein Photo von uns!", the boy shouted and embraced the fox-miko. She tried to talk, but then the father agreed and the flashes didn't stop. She began to struggle, but the boy only thought it funny. as they left, the miko was devastated and ran away.
Now a tanuki came, tempted by the smell of food. He ate until an angry fox appeared and yelled. But its eyes were swollen. First the tanuki defended himself, then he got, that the real problem was elsewhere. So he switched to his silly moves and consoled the fox. Henceforth, he visited her often, since there was always something to eat there, and some fun with other friends. Still, the temptation of the food offerings was there and if he followed, the bickering started.
VBRs - Very best rivals (Anzeigen)The fox and the wolf have known each other for a long time. The wolf cub had lost its way and had suddenly found herself among lots of creepy noises and bad smells. She ran here and there and at last found a little wood and the shrine inside it. There the little fox-miko gave her some food and showed her a hiding place for the rest of the day. The wolf wasn't sure if it could trust her, but it couldn't refuse help. At night, the fox showed it a way back home. Later, it visited once in a while and learned how to interact with humans (at least a little). It grew into a wild teenage girl, adapted more to the modern ways of the humans and began to argue with the little human girl from the shrine: Who is the better protector of the village, who knows the ways of the land and so on? Whenever they meet, it turns into a competition between them. But they don't want to miss it and they don't like it when others try to interfere.
Moro`s human form is a rebellious teenage girl, behaving and clothing like a punk.
