It's time to seek for what belonged to us long ago and was taken from us by those weak who never honored the blood that runs in their veins and never respected our so loved Goddess.
Death is the only word that appears in my mind together with the anger and the wrath in my heart every time I remember they're receiving no punishment for their acts of treachery against our Goddess. Now the group is complete, a mere 11 members right now who go by the following names (and screen names):

The start has been somewhat sluggish, but if at least half of those who have signed up post each day, or every other day, we should be fine. Hence, it is quite good to have a large group. In case someone will be off for a week or two,  just let me know and I will make sure that he meets the fate Lolth has set before the character as quickly as if the player was about ...

As it stands now, Kylara'anon has signed up Sheiriya and Zhadristan, the only members of the previous campaign's group. She is at the inn, where Tavia, the new group's scout, has assembled the rest. For the sake of getting the campaign going, don't engage in long debates about each character's wishes and all. Assume that the yathrin will offer 100 times more per day and person (plus bounty share) than a "normal" mercenary would get. This should sate the hunger for gold.

If people want to converse with the yathrin or someone else a bit more, please use the Conversation thread.

Note: Yes, we do play an evil campaign and every chap and lass is entitled to play her/his evil character as s/he views it. Yet, alignment is not something I take a very close look at and, more importantly, we all want to share some fun. Each character has a reason to join up and s/he wouldn't do it just to bully others about without acknowledging the possibility that someone might stick a dagger into her/his eye while s/he "sleeps" because s/he can't stand such behaviour. Evil chaps and lasses would not mind doing such a thing.
As in: try to play your character as close as possible to your imagination of her/him, but make sure that no-one spoils the fun for other party members. You will have enough possibilities to let out any bloodthirst, cruelty, or the like on those hundreds of monsters and Tyr-paladins that come your way.

You say that as though good guys were any less eager to put troublemakers out of their misery at the first opportunity.

 Indeed, the only difference between heroes and villains is that the latter kill troublemakers for personal gain, while the... former... er...

Hm ... generally speaking, yes. I was referring to in-group "troublemakers" and usually good characters (in D&D P&P groups that is) tend not to stab their fellow "comrades" in their sleep if they think the latter go over the top with their behaviour or become a personal risk.

So... we use plain text for descriptions and the like, quotation marks for speech and italics for drow sign language or any other silent way of talking?
 Of course it doesn't hurt to use a descriptive verb like

Blah blah, he signs.
"Blah blah", he says.


I that was the way it's been done before and I suggest we stick to it.

Well, yes. Maybe I strayed away from this while sign-talking to Xune, but as long as you write what you do (sign, say, signal), we should be fine too. But a general rule should be that speach is being put into quotation marks:

"This is the best way to do it, " he says.

... while drow sign language should be in italics (and maybe quotation marks too, for those who like them):

Take that ogre to the left, she signals, I will go for the one on the right.

On a sidenote, (nitpicking, but anyway) in sign abbreviations are not really common, so it should be clear words -> I will go for vs. I'll go for

I will set off the campaign by Thursday at the very latest. If we are still debating in the room, I'll switch that discussion to the Conversation / Inn thread again. You may call me The Switcher (at your own peril ). Make sure that you have a look at the main thread afterwards every now and then.

As usual, post the odd line here and there just to let me know that you are around - even if the character has nothing to say at that moment and time.

I thought that the question about the roles in the group was directed at those in the inn since Kylara'anon already met Zhadristan and Sheiriya before going there.

I'd say Zhadristan is Almost-Blade.

Just for reference, What is the "Common" Language that we are all speaking currently?

Good point. I will not exactly reveal which characters knows which language, but for the sake of it, let's assume that the discussion at the inn was held in "Common". I'll do a check-up on the languages and set the thing rolling later today.
