Given the lack of space, Talice removes the bow and readies herself for melee combat.

The door goes down and the undead moves a bit backwards, dropping his weapon and drawing a short sword. The tunnel is spacy enough for two of you to close in on the undead and fight without much hinderance.

Nata'al looks back and forth between the bridge and the tunnel to the north, covering Sheiriya.

Just as the undead lashes out at Geirildin, Zhadristan skewers it with his sabre and makes the attack on his comrade go awry. Taking the opportunity, he withdraws his weapon and strikes out again, drawing a hiss from the being. The moment Zhadristan removes his blade and goes out of the way, Kethryllia's scourge whips past him and draws fine lines over the undead's face. Finally, Geirildin brings his sword down in two vicious swipes and the instant he removes it out of the undead being, the latter dissolves into misty vapor. The latter withdraws away from you into tunnel.

Zhadristan's eyes follow the mist down the tunnel a bit, then turns to the others.
"I hardly believe the likes of these slaughtered your former companions." the male says, looking at Talice. "There must be something else."

Talice smiles and signals: "You are drow, they weren't. Then again, I do not know what lies there." Pointing towards the far end of the tunnel.

Keth spits in the direction fo the fleeing mist, muttering something about "Parasites."

"Two of us should pair up and gather everything of value from below, while the rest of us keep watch," says Keth as she keeps watch in the direction that the mist is fleeing in.

Taking this as a command, Talice looks down towards the bottom and throws a silken rope to Jalashar. He can tie up the loot there and the female will heave it up while the others can give cover. While doing so, Talice whispers: "We should be double careful now. These creatures will surely lurk there now, waiting to pounce. And there might be traps too."
After a moment, she adds: "This whole place does not look like being built by humans ... or whatever they are."

No sound comes from the tunnel to the south. As Talice said, the place looks like a mixture of human as well as dwarven craftsmanship, though it is hard to tell.

Narzen signals, Detecting for magic ahead could reveal the enemy or traps that would slip notice otherwise. Do any of you still have such spells prepared?

In any case, it will not be possible to thoroughly search for both magical and mundane traps all the way, because there is only so much time to do either. I would thus suggest focusing on the magic; if I fail to spot a mechanical trap in time, it will likely be a lesser danger.

The man smirks and continues, And I will be the first to fall into pits anyway.

 (15) You enter a chamber which has three doors, two of which open to corridors leading to the southwest and southeast respectively. To the northwest there is a room (16, door open) lined on all four walls with floor-to-ceiling shelves, crammed with books, jars, and material for as well as spell components - from the looks of it. A total of 16 brass braziers, a pot of pitch, five intact and three broken turtle shells are placed all over the room, around and on a sturdy trestle table and two high stools.

The chamber (15) sports a couple of empty torch brackets, while a sigil in red mosaic tiles is inlaid in the centre of the pale grey floor. It is somewhat darkened and from the whole in the ceiling right above the sigil, you make out that there once was a trap spell placed on it. More interesting to the onlooker is the corpse of a human male hanging upside down from a heavy chain near to the door to the northwest (room 16). The fellow was badly humilated, his lower left arm is missing, as is his throat. A gaping whole is in the place were his stomach should be, on closer inspection one might see the spine in that bloody mess. From the tracks on the dusty floor you can easily determine that the guy was slaughtered in the room to the north, then dragged to this place and chained to the ceiling. If you look for it, you will find the missing parts of his body there.

The hallway to the southwest (18) is lined on both sides with about a dozen life-sized stone statues, which look very lifelike. They depict hooded humans (it seems, but one can hardly tell) clad in robes featuring various ornaments, symbols and the like. Two doors can be spotted in the darkness here, one leading to the northwest, the other at the end of the corridor. All is silent, but the hallway seems to have seen much traffic recently.

The second hallway, to the southeast, has three doors, one to the south, two to the north. It ends in what appears to be a natural cavern and you hear a faint rush of water from that direction too. Again, the dust on the floor has been disturbed quite often, not least in recent hours.

Sheiriya nods towards Nata'al before stepping onto hte "bridge" to get to the other side. When she enters the darkness of the tunnel the beautiful female becomes invisible again.

Nata'al crosses the bridge and withdraws her bow. She fastens her shiueld to her left arm and takes a position next to Narzen. "I will give cover ... in a way," she signals.

All have crossed the bridge now and you can move unhindered to the chamber with the body (15). Narzen cleary spot evidence for former traps, both magical and mechanical, but all have apparently gone off long ago. The hallway to the southwest is silent, while a distant rush of water can be heard from the southeastern one.

"Which way?" Nata'al signals?
