- Das Team wird anlässlich der Raummission Attila II zusammengestellt. Darunter der britische Diakon Peter Aldred, der russische Psychiater Sergeji Pásečnik, der israelische Militär Jean-Levi Biton, der schwedische Raumpilot Andrew Petersson, der amerikanische Co-Pilot Ken Bolden, der indische Biologe Abhay Hepworth und die amerikanische Reporterin Alice Palmer.
- Die Mission beinhaltet, den riesigen Asteroiden Attila mit Hilfe von nuklear Antrieben von seiner Flugbahn abzudrängen, bevor dieser mit der Erde kollidieren und große Landmassen verwüsten kann.
- Noch auf der Erde erfährt das Team, dass der Asteroid elektro-magnetische Wellen aussendet. Diese Wellen zeigen sowohl ein interessantes Muster als auch eine variierende Sendefolge. Es ist offenbar, dass 'Alie Palmer' nicht ihre echte Identität (http://games.dnd-gate.de/index.php/topic,6783.msg727745.html#msg727745) ist.

Giant Asteroid Attila 02 heading for Earth

Cape Canaveral, Florida - There's no border patrol in space. But even though, it is quiete unbelievable that no observatory, weather station or hobby astronom in the world noticed the huge asteroid until it was visible to the naked eye. Attila, as it was called after the famous leader of the Huns, is about 3 kilometers in diameter and was first spotted by a tracking station in Borneo. Astronomical extrapolation pronounce that the orbit of Attila is crossing earth's orbit in several weeks. According to NASA sources, the probality of Impact with Earth is 99 percent.
Recently, NASA and ESA and Roskosmos - as well as any other space agency in the world - are working feverish for a solution of the problem of impending impact. As Frederic Bald, administrator of NASA, stated, that there are plans to assemble an international team of astronouts that will head for Attila. The team is going to plant explosives on the surface of Atilla in order to push it out of its orbit. "It is not the idea of blowing it into bits - that would have the effect of a rifle gun. We just give him a slight push." Preparations for the mission are running these days.
"It is time to put away with old differences and to get them all together, because this problem is one of the entire mankind. We have to do a good job here, because there is only one chance, we get.", said Mr. Bolden at a press conference in Cape Canaveral Space Station this morning.

The near impact of the giant asteroid Attila is paralyzing the world in fear. Never before there was such a threatening to humanity and - to be worse off - only one hand full of men and women will have the possibility for seizing a chance to avert the impending catastrophe.
Still, even at the brink of disaster, business in Washington goes on. [...] The country from which the expedition starts will make history and secures fame as well as an economical boost one cannot estimate. Russia was lazy and Washington wise to claim this chance for itself. [...] On the other hand, choosing astronauts from several countries will tie the world closer to the United States more reliable than any international pact could. [...]

Attila 02 gives religion a second spring

Although all official administrations make considerable effort to placate the impending danger of Attila 02, world realizes that it's bloody close to the edge. As leading scientiest state, the impact of Attila will have enough power to devastate a whole continent as well as it will cause heavy tsunamis at the coasts of the other countries. It will raise enough dust to becloud sunlight for several weeks. As consequence flora will be spoiled and human life will come to halt. Theres no life that do not suffer from the impact.
These days, many people find comfort in religion again. Not only in Christian, Muslim and Far Eastern ones, but also in diverse sects, apocalypse-groups and purification givers. Mississippi cardinal Dentzler says, that Holy Catholic Church is watching these developments with worry. "I do not believe that this is going to be the end of our world, but a signal for human societies to find their way back to the roots of Christian believes. We must pray and trust that God is full of merci and will avert this catastrophe from us." [...]

Zusammenfassung
Beginn: Das Shuttle erreicht den Asteroiden (http://games.dnd-gate.de/index.php/topic,6783.msg735001.html#msg735001).
Ende:
- Das Shuttle gelangt zum Asteroiden und das Team teilt sich auf: Hepworth, Petersson und van Campen sollen den ersten Ausflug zum Asteroiden unternehmen, um sich das Terrain anzusehen und dass van Campen einige Fotos schießen kann, während Aldred, Pásečnik und Bolden an Board verbleiben.
- Die Astronauten entdecken auf dem Asteroiden merkwürdige Quecksilberseen und einen eindeutigen Beleg für intelligente Lebensformen: ein Eisenrohr (http://games.dnd-gate.de/index.php/topic,6783.msg735974.html#msg735974). Zudem einen niedrigen Podest (http://games.dnd-gate.de/index.php/topic,6783.msg738265.html#msg738265), in dessen Inneren es anscheinend einen Kurzschluss gegeben hat. Abhay manipuliert den Podest und löst damit aus, dass der Asteroid "arbeitet" (http://games.dnd-gate.de/index.php/topic,6783.msg739762.html#msg739762).
- Währenddessen, an Board des Shuttles, zeigt sich, dass Mrs. Palmer als blinder Passagier mit ins All gereist ist. Sie bedroht das Team mit einer Pistole und will erreichen, dass keine Beweise für außeridisches Leben gefunden werden. Durch eine List kann Pásečnik die Frau überwältigen.
- Die Crew erwacht aus der Bewusstlosigkeit (http://games.dnd-gate.de/index.php/topic,6783.msg741720.html#msg741720). Das Schiff ist verwüstet, die Technik in Mitleidenschaft gezogen, die Nahrungs- und Trinkwasservorräte knapp. Ken hat es nicht überlebt, der Rest der Crew ist verletzt. Von Mrs. Palmer fehlt jede Spur.
- Das Team erkundet zum ersten mal die Insel und findet zunächst eine große Salzwüste (http://games.dnd-gate.de/index.php/topic,6783.msg748442.html#msg748442), die von Kanälen durchzogen ist. Dann erreichen sie einen großes Talkessel (http://games.dnd-gate.de/index.php/topic,6783.msg748892.html#msg748892), an dessen Felswänden auf Terrassen Wohnhäuser und Felder sind, sowie ein großer Tempel steht. In der Mitte des Talkessels ist ein großer, vertrockneter 'Baum'.
- Das Team erkundet drei niedrige Lagerhallen (http://games.dnd-gate.de/index.php/topic,6783.msg755587.html#msg755587) im Talkessel und findet einige Gerätschaften sowie Statuetten, die seltsame Lebewesen zeigen[1].
- In der Nähe der Lagerhallen finden sie einen Bach (http://games.dnd-gate.de/index.php/topic,6783.msg756777.html#msg756777), dessen Wasser trinkbar ist. Am Oberhang hat ein riesiges, spinnenartiges Wesen einen Damm gebaut.
- Andrew baut Fallen (http://games.dnd-gate.de/index.php/topic,6783.msg759959.html#msg759959) und sichert damit die Ernährung.
- Peter übersetzt die ersten vier Stufen des Tempels.
- Das Team findet eine Karte von Cocytos (http://games.dnd-gate.de/index.php/topic,6783.msg763349.html#msg763349). Es ist eine Hauptinsel und vier kleinere Inseln drumherum.
- Das Team kehrt zum Shuttle zurück, um noch einmal zu versuchen, jemand per Funk zu erreichen. Zwar können sie die Technik in Betrieb nehmen, doch sie erhalten keine Antwort. Allerdings finden sie eine Nachricht von Mrs. Palmer (http://games.dnd-gate.de/index.php/topic,6783.msg764300.html#msg764300), die einen Zugang zum Untergrund gefunden hat und Kooperation vorschlägt.
- Das Team hinterlässt eine Antwort (http://games.dnd-gate.de/index.php/topic,6783.msg764567.html#msg764567) und beschließt, ein Schiffswrack am nahegelegenen Strand zu erkunden, sodass Mrs. Palmer die Nachricht aus dem Shuttle holen kann.

Der fahlgrüne Körper dieser Kreatur ist etwa brusthoch und sehr muskulös. Zwar fehlt ihm ein Kopf, doch hat er dort, wo das Brustbein sein sollte, ein großes, mit Reißzähnen besetztes Maul. Das, was man als Augen benennen würde, sitzen auf den Schulterblättern. Ohren sind zumindest nicht erkennbar.
Mit Ausnahme des Sitzes von Augen und Mund, ist der Körper sehr symmetrisch gebaut. Die vier Gliedmaßen stehen jeweils im 45° Winkel ab und lassen keinen Unterschied in der Funktionsweise erkennen - wahrscheinlich könnte sich das Wesen in alle Richtungen gleich gut bewegen. Die starken Muskeln der "Oberarme" geben einen Hinweis darauf, dass sich die Wesen kraftvoll abstoßen können, um große Sprünge zu vollführen. Die Gliedmaßen enden in starken, scharfen Klauen.

Thereafter, Beginning-End's children spent many days of fulfillment. But occasionally, they didn't obey their mother's demand and went to the borders of garden happiness. There they saw the land of outside the garden and it was dark, wasted and perilous. In this moment, their ears became deaf for the whispers of Beginning-End. And they got frightened and agitated and felt that their lives weren't secure if the garden vanished. And so they they collected more seeds than they could consume and took more wood than they burned and they ponded the waters and they dug the earth for (edible) roots. And they populated unrestricted and they created their own kins and mistrusted each other. And they assaulted on each other and spoiled the garden.
As woe was most severe, "Beginning-End" awakened from her sleep. And as she saw, what they made of the garden, she was dolorous and angered. And she spoke, "I've done everything for you and you frustrated my doings and so you suffer. You don't trust in my deeds and so you must learn to trust in your own before we can unify again. But still I love you and I will bestead you in this forthcoming quest."
And Beginning-End shed tears for many days and the barren land turned fruitful, although not as fruitful as garden happiness was. Then she went to rest, again."
Tempelstufe 2 (Anzeigen)"I am the voice, that is in all being. I am the beginning, I am the zenith and I am the end. In a storm I will be your shelter and the guiding light in the darkness surrounding you. I spend warmth and comfort and assurance. I promise death and rebirth. I am recurrence and the end. I unite the being and the nonbeing.
Listen to my word. I love you and as the highest of all I will be to your service. Though I know your needs and their fulfillments, I grant you freedom, because you yearn for insight. What you severed you shall assemble again. But I will always be near. I will hear your wailing, your questions and your doubts.
When everything is unified again, the chain of recurrence is broken and you cease your earthen being. Approve my words, sink yourself in me and you will go home. Finally you will be redeemed of all suffering. Trust in me."
Tempel Stufe 3 (Anzeigen)As the years passed, the offspring of BeginningEnd spread across Cocytos and the nearby islands and gathered themselves in tribes. In the very west there was the tribe of the Enlightened. They loved to seek the starry skie and tried to read the future. In the northwest, the artisans made their home. They loved the fine arts and collected stories and were also gifted orators. In the northeast the carpenter located themselves. They burried the mountain in search of precious metals and were the most talented in crafting tools and architecture. In the east there was the tribe of the Blunts, who were the most insulated of the tribes and were said to have withdrawed the most far from BeginningEnd. The tribe that settled Cocytos named theirself the Prefered and was the strongest of all.
Tempel Stufe 4 (Anzeigen)Time passed and the tribes grew strong and numerous. But also tensions set up and the tribes struggled with each other. Within the tribes they betrayed each other and eventually murdered the ones who achieved more than others. Many commited Sacrileges against BeginningEnd and worshiped to false gods.
Finally, BeginningEnd woke up and as she saw what they were doing, she was frustrated. She invaded the dreams of the elder. After a week of nightmares she spoke to them: "You experienced my enragement. I created you good but stolidity and envy made you to get used to foul habits." And she gave them commandments and a voice that couldn't be overheared. These where the nine commandments:
The first and most importened commandment is that no one shall betray. Every other commandment follows from this.
You shall not worhsip to other gods than BeginningEnd, because you betray your goddess by the glory and approval of her beloving favour.
You shall not forget your ancestors, because you betray yourself by the experience you gathered.
You shall honour your elders, because you the are the most wise and ressourceful and you betray your tribe by not obeying to them.
You shall not murder, because you betray your next by the experience he could have collected.
You shall not make pictures of each other nor of your goddess, because pictures betray at the beauty of the moment.
You shall not envy your next, because you betray your own talent.
You shall not lie, because you betray others of the truth.
You shall not be unreliable in every thing you do, because you betray others trusts.
These were the commandments of BeginngingEnd. Also she gave the elders the power to punish as they saw it inevitable. But also she promissed a time when punisment weren't needed anymore.
