When you post a reply, above the text field, you have button with the options, i.e. B for Bold and the like. In in the second row, right in the middle, you find the DICE button.
Or you replace the round brackets with square ones, if you want to do it "by hand"

Ah ... they changed the dice - option. For you could apparently "edit" the post without something interesting happening to it, i.e. something that let's everyone know that the post has been edited.
