Rigger’s Jobs:

Rigging Repair: The ship's rigging frequently gets damaged and must be repaired, requiring Climb checks to reach the rigging 30 feet up, followed by a Profession (sailor) or Dexterity check.

Line Work: Hard work hoisting and lowering sails, requiring a Profession (sailor) or Dexterity check. The PC must also make a Constitution check to avoid being fatigued at the end of the shift.

Upper Rigging Work: Work in the upper rigging, 50 feet up, requiring Climb checks, followed by a Profession (sailor) or Dexterity check.

Rope Work: Handling the ship's ropes, including coiling them, stowing them, and securing them to cleats and single and double bollards, requiring a Profession (sailor) or Dexterity check.

Lookout: A climb to the crow's nest 60 feet up, requiring Climb checks followed by a Perception check.

Mainsail Duties: Tough work raising and lowering the mainsail, requiring a Profession (sailor) or Strength check. The PC must also make a Constitution check to avoid being fatigued at the end of the shift.

Note: rigger can take 10 to make required climb checks

Zitat
Swab’s Jobs

Man the Bilges: Vile and sweaty work cleaning out the bilges (area A11), requiring a Strength check. The PC must also make a Constitution check to avoid being fatigued at the end of the shift.

Rat Catcher: Catching rats and other vermin below decks, requiring either a Stealth check, Survival check, or Dexterity check to catch and kill enough rats, cockroaches, and beetles for a good day's work.

Swab the Decks: Backbreaking work mopping the decks and scrubbing them with sandstone blocks called holystones, requiring a Strength or Constitution check. Failing either check results in the PC being fatigued at the end of the shift.

Hauling Rope and Knot Work: Tying and untying knots in the ship's ropes and moving heavy coils of rope from one part of the ship to another, requiring a Profession (sailor) or Strength check. The PC must also make a Constitution check to avoid being fatigued at the end of the shift.

Runner: Passing messages to the crew and officers of the Wormwood in all parts of the ship except officers' cabins, requiring an Acrobatics check and Constitution check. Failing the Constitution check results in the PC being fatigued at the end of the shift. A PC with the Run feat automatically succeeds at this task.

Repairs: Things constantly tear or break aboard the ship and need repairs, whether sewing sails or splicing rope all day, requiring a Profession (sailor) or Dexterity check.

Zitat
Cook’s mate Jobs:

Cooking: Assisting Ambrose Kroop in preparing the day's meal. If Kroop is sober, no check is required. If Kroop is drunk, this requires a Profession (cook) or Intelligence check.

Fishing: Catching tonight's supper using the ship's nets. A Profession (fisherman) or Survival check provides enough fish. A failed check results in a day in the bilges as punishment the following day (see the swab task above).

Turtle Hunting: Hunting leatherback sea turtles with harpoons, treble hooks, and nets. A Profession (fisherman) or Survival check provides enough food. A failed check results in a day in the bilges as punishment the following day (see the swab task above).

Bull Session: Drinking with Ambrose Kroop and listening to his stories. The cook's mate must drink an additional rum ration, but is able to take an additional ship action during the day.

Special Occasion: Captain Harrigan is celebrating something today, and wants one of the ship's pigs butchered and cooked for dinner. The PC must make a Profession (cook) or Survival check to slaughter the animal, then help Kroop to clean, cut, and prepare the carcass. If Kroop is sober, no additional check is required. If Kroop is drunk, this requires a Profession (cook) or Intelligence check.

Starting Attitude    Diplomacy DC
Hostile    25+ creature's Cha Modifier
Unfriendly    20+ creature's Cha Modifier
Indifferent    15+ creature's Cha Modifier
Friendly    10+ creature's Cha Modifier
Helpful    0+ creature's Cha Modifier
 1. Was die NSC-Crew jedoch betrifft: At this stage of the journey, the PCs and their allies / Plugg, Scourge and his followers have become more polarized. Decrease the attitude of any NPC not on at least friendly terms with any PC by one level. NPCs who are already hostile to the PCs can no longer be influenced by the PCs.

Was Ihr machen müsst:

Denkt an Boni (for example +4 to one roll for diligent work, -2 for shopping or shirking, etc.)

Trinken, 1d3-1 Charisma bonus, 1d8 hours fatigued, Fortitude save.
Wegschütten, Attempt to get rid of it unnoticed. Stealth check

Euer Abendpost sollte genauso laufen

Wer dabei ins Wasser fällt muss schwimmen (SG 10).

3mal darf jeder es probieren...

Kielholen

Seekrankheit

Zitat
Characters unaccustomed to life on board ships run the risk of getting seasick. Such characters must succeed at a DC 5 Fortitude save or become nauseated for the rest of the day. On the following day, the character is entitled to a new save. On a success, the character is sickened instead of nauseated. On a failure, the nauseated condition persists for another day. Each day thereafter, a character is entitled to another Fortitude save. Making two successful saves in a row allows the character to recover from seasickness for the duration of the voyage. The DC of seasickness increases to 15 in rough weather, and those who succeed at a check to stave off seasickness for a day must make an additional save if conditions change for the worse. Characters with 1 or more ranks in Profession (sailor) are never subject to seasickness.

Infamy (& Disrepute) System

Current Infamy score: 0
Current Disrepute points: 0

Basic idea: Infamy measures your fame/infamy amongst the Shackles and represents how fearsome of a pirate you are seen as. Your reputation. Disrepute are the points that can be spent for certain actions, bonuses, etc; "the group's actual ability to cash in on its fame". Your Infamy score is the sum total of all the Disrepute you've earned throughout the game, it never really decreases and it's kind of an overall tracking number for your reputation. Disrepute points will flucuate as you earn them and spend them.

Infamy/Disrepute rules:

  • A few things are required to gain Infamy: an audience, a deed to tell about, and a flair for storytelling.
  • To gain Infamy, the PC's must moor their ship at a port for 1 full day and the PC determined to be the "main storyteller" must spend this time on shore carousing and boasting of infamous deeds. The PC will then make an "Infamy Check" (either Bluff, Intimidate, or Perform check) to gauge the effectiveness of their telling.
  • The DC of the Infamy Check is 15 + twice the group's APL.
  • On a succeful check, the group's Infamy and Disrepute both increase by +1, and by an additional +1 for ever 5 points the check exceeds the DC by, up to a maximum of +3.
  • On a failed check, the scores are unchanged and the day is simply wasted.
  • Infamy/Disrepute by Port: No matter how impressionable or drunk the crowd, no one wants to hear the same story twice. You may only gain a maximum of 5 points of Infamy/Disrepute in a given port per Infamy Threshold, see below.
  • All benefits from reaching a given Infamy Threshold are cumulative.
  • Plunder and Infamy/Disrepute: Plunder can be used in 2 ways towards Infamy/Disrepute. 1) Before making an Infamy check, the PC's can spend 1 point of Plunder to add a +2 to their Infamy check that day. You may spend as much Plunder as you like to increase the bonus, it is possible to "buy" your fame. 2) If an Infamy check is failed, the PC's can choose to spend 3 points of Plunder to allow for an immediate reroll of the Infamy check. A reroll attempt can only be made once per day and the Plunder is lost even if the reroll fails. Some people just aren't impressed no matter how much money you throw around.
  • Disrepute may be spent on Impositions once the PC's have reached the appropriate Infamy Threshold.

Infamy Threshold Titles/Rewards and available Impositions.

Disgraceful (10+ Infamy): PC's may choose one favored port, and gain +2 bonus to all Infamy checks in that port. Disgraceful Impositions may be purchased.

- Impositions to be listed upon threshold reached.

Despicable (20+ Infamy): Once per week, the PC's can sacrifice a prisoner or crew member to immediately gain 1d3 points of Disrepute. This sacrifice is always fatal and returning the victim to life results in the loss of 1d6 points of Disrepute. Despicable Impositions may be purchased.

-Impositions to be listed upon threshold reached.

Notorious (30+ Infamy): PC's may choose a second favored port, and gain +2 bonus to all Infamy checks in that port. The first favored port now grants a +4 to Infamy checks. Notorious Impositions may be purchased. Disgraceful Impositions may be purchased at half price (rounded down).

-Impositions to be listed upon threshold reached.

Loathsome (40+ Infamy): PC's gain a +5 bonus on all skill checks to sell Plunder. Loathsome Impositions may be purchased. Despicable Impositions may be purchased at half price (rounded down).

-Impositions to be listed upon threshold reached.

Vile (55+ Infamy): PC's may choose a third favored port, and gain +2 bonus to all Infamy checks in that port. The first favored port now grants a +6 to Infamy checks and the second a +4. Vile Impositions may be purchased. Notorious Impositions may be purchased at half price (rounded down). Disgraceful Impositions are free.

-Impositions to be listed upon threshold reached.

Plunder System
Basic idea to keep in mind: An approximation of valuable but non-useful cargo. 1 point of plunder = 1,000gp (base) and takes up 10 tons of cargo capacity, unless stated otherwise.

Other Specific info to note:

  • Plunder final sale value will be dependent on the size of the port you are trying to sell it in, the smaller the port the less you'll likely receive.
  • Selling it requires a PC to spend 1 full day in port trading and allows for 1 point of plunder to be sold for gold.
  • A PC may attempt to increase the amount they receive for the 1 point of Plunder by making a skill check (Bluff, Diplomacy, Intimidate, or Prof: merchant), consulting the Plunder Table.
  • Plunder table.
  • Plunder may also be used to purchase/increase your Infamy score, see Infamy section for details.
