Narzen curses to himself briefly, then runs for cover as well.

Nata'al sprints for cover too, casting a spell along the way. Talice simply vanishes from sight after a casting a spell, while Jhalashar gets one of his horns out and gives it a right good blast. Apart from the sound, magic waves over those near him (Geirildin, Zouhlnor, Iira and Kethryllia) - to no visible effect though. As he follows his master, the male gets his other horn out too. Geirldin looks for a decent spot of cover as well, touching on of his amulets along the way and getting his longbow out.

Inside his darkness globe Zouhlnor calms his breathing and concentrates. Psychic energy washes over him granting him life unknown to him.

In this round i'm augmenting 'Vigor' with 3 additional points giving me 20 temporary HP..

Zhadristan clouds the area between him and the enemy in darkness. Then he looks for Sheiriya and if he sees her he'll sign "Do you have magic to keep it from flying out of melee range?"

Jhalashar gets the second horn out and blows it too. An eery sound rolls through the cavern and those near him hear the bard gasp in pain. The horn in his hand glows shortly, but nothing else seems to happen to it. Near Jhalashar appears a column of white mist which forms itself into a humanoid form. Moments later, a skeleton clad in chainmail and armed with sword and spear fill the space waiting on Jhalashar's commands.

Sheiriya sees Zhadristan's question. "I don't think I have the appropriate magic for that. But I've never fought against something like that. Is there something special I should know?"

Apparently waiting for someone to take proper charge of the battle, Narzen loads a bolt to his crossbow, then picks up some spell components in his free hand.

"No idea." Zhadristan signs back and then fetches a thunderstone from his pack.

Large patches of the fungi forest are covered by darkness now (20 feet radius ... thats 40 feet in diameter, 20 feet high in its middle and twice cast). Most of you are just outside the spell, but well covered. The beholder cannot be seen at first, but as it draws nearer, it uses its antimagic ray eye to looks through the darkness. (Much like that big eye on top of Mount Doom.)

As the ray bypasses the fungi Nata'al uses as cover, the drow looks around and fires a quick arrow at the beast and goes into hiding once more. The missile clanks off the creature's skin and you hear a low grumbling laughter. "You have to do better than that!"
Meanwhile, Jhalashar utters a few melodic verses when darkness washes over him again.

Iira peeks around from his cover to judge how far away the orb creature is while he thinks up a plan of action.

Sheiriya makes her sword disappear and readies her crossbow to shoot at the beholder when possible.

Keth will look for a position that will "block" the beholder's central eye as much as possible. If such a spot is found she will go for it wrapped in her piwafwi. Once there she will start to chant a prayer.

Otherwise she will put as much of her cover between herself and the beholder and start to chant a prayer.

Zouhlnor charges at the beasts voice as soon as he hears its grewsome cackle, his axe in one hand and a flask of acid in the other. If Zouhlnor exits the globes of darkness he will drop another.
