In the light Sheiriya can be seen again. She whispers a short command word.

Keth presents her holy symbol of Lolth, "In the name of the Quarvalsharess, I command you to cower before me!" commands Keth of the creature.

Iira's hand drops to his side, ready to remove his spiked chain from the hook on his belt. He also adopts a defensive stance.

Zhadristan glances at Keth and then back at the creature, wondering if it will obey her.

You can feel the power surging from Keth's holy symbol towards the creature, but neither does it cower before the drow, nor does it slow in its step. A rasping voice (Undercommon) can be heard as it comes nearer. "A pleasant surprise then. Let's see whether you are worthy enough to lift the curse, kin of the Spider!" As it speaks, a symbol dangling on a chain clatters against his rusty breastplate, depicting a black human skull on a white triangular field. Still some 50 feet away, it draws a morning star and starts mumbling arcane syllables. By the looks of it, this creature is undead too, but in appearance it is stuck somewhere inbetween a skeleton and a vampire.

"Seems your master might be protecting you still, servant of a dead god," hisses Keth as she advances towards the creature.

Seeing Keth advancing Iira does the same, staying at her side as best possible.

Sheiriya takes aim with her crossbow, which is still loaded from the fight at the "bridge", and shoots at the undead thing.

Sheiriya tries a spell, but a sour look on her face tells you that her attempt to dim the lights failed. Your leader concentrates and listens intently to the arcane syllables of your opponent. Keth does know the spell from her teachings, though only higher priestesses used it while  trying to draw power from the goddess to make them stronger and more cunning in combat. The drow then advances towards the target.
At her shoulder, Narzen casts a spell and  a ray of energy pulses from his hand, hits the creature squarely at the chest and makes it snarl a curse. Iira and Geirildin rush past the two, the latter intercepting the undead before it comes near Keth. He brings his fine blade down, but the undead raises his shield with unexpected agility and diverts the blow. Iira's chain lashes at the undead from a greater distance, but a previously invisible barrier flares up inches before the creature to stop the weapon from hitting. The undead answers with a couple of swings of his morning star, bashing the weapon twice into the nearby drow (Geirildin, 21 HP in total). Taken aback by the ferocity, Talice's aim wavers and her arrow end up crashing against the wall at the far end of the tunnel. Likewise, Sheiriya's bolt nearly hits the wounded Geirildin, as the hits take him into her line of fire. Nata'al takes a good look at the undead, then concentrates on the hallway and the exit to the north, while Jalashar begins to toughen you up with song.

"If lightning does not affect that thing either, I have nothing left to hit it with," Narzen mutters.

He takes out his small crossbow, and after loading a bolt on it speaks a command word, making the weapon hum with electricity again.

Zhadristan whispers a word and upon saying it, his blade becomes sheathed in a thin layer of ice.
"Eventually I do." he comments.

Not seeing a real chance to hit the undead thing standing behind three drow, Sheiriya gets a metall sphere out of her belt and activates it.
