"If you wait for a moment I could take a closer look at that fungi-wood."
Sheiriya's fingers suggest.

Some time passes before Sheiriya signals to you again.
"The fight happened in that fungi wood. There are two drow women which seem to take care of the fungi but they are fully armored. If we walk on they will see us."

Keth signs Then we should be prepared to deal with them, depending on their reaction.

Sheiriya prefers to look not aggressive, no weapon in hand, and waits for scout or leader to move on.

In case they are hostile, do you want to capture them alive? Zhadristan signs to Keth.

"Why would drow work fungi in full armor," Nata'al adds in signs.

Keth signs As to why work in full armor, no clue. A prisoner would be ideal.
Turning towards Geirildin, Keth signs lead the way, with a smirk.

Zhadristan nods and brings forth his crossbow. He loads a bolt onto it and once it is locked he coats its tip with sleep poison.

Iira keeps a hand hovering close to his spiked chain and the other near the throwing axe he claimed. He slows his pace some in case stealth is prefered.

Both the scout and Nata'al ready their bows and coat their arrows with poison too. Geirildin quickly assembles his bow too and readies an poisoned arrow, while Jhalashar gets one of the horns out and prepares to blow it. If someone questions him, he signals: "The spell it cast will save us from any charms ... I hope."

Warily you close in on the spot where the fighting took place. The trail itself is some 10 feet wide with a further three or four feet space towards the lake's shore. The water is jet black and as smooth as a mirror's surface. It lies to the right of your path. On the left hand side, the fungi cover a large patch of what looks like a slope leading towards the wall of that cavern. The area there is dimly lit by some leechen or fungi, there rest of the cavern is shrouded (lake and all) in darkness.

As you reach the spot Sheiriya described as the place of battle, you see a few discarded weapons, a lot of blood and what looks like a chopped-off eyestalk of a beast no-one of you want to encounter just yet. This draws a few gasps of you, as unintentionally as unwelcomed. Instantly, one of the working drow's head comes up amongst the fungi, but she does not spot you immediately. You do notice that another, finer trail of blood leads to the wall behind the fungi and the two drow.
