After the rest, the scout leads you out through one of the larger exits of this cavern - all carved into the stone by the now dry river. It meanders through the Underdark like a vast snake and the more you ascend along its path, the more rough the stone becomes. Sand- and limestone changes to basalt, granite and the like, cracks begin to line all surfaces. Occasionally, the scout stops, signals you to stay behind and moves some paces ahead. There she drops to one knee and seems to listen intendly, laying on hand on the surface of the wall. About half a day passes till you reach a large crack that runs right through both walls. It is about 10 feet wide and you cannot see either ceiling nor bottom. A number of bats cling to the opposite wall of this crack, not taking notice of you though. The tunnel leads on at the other side of the crack too, but makes a sharp turn to the right some 100 paces ahead. The scout signals that you need to climb up on this side of the crack for a few hundred feet, where there will be a large cavern that will lead straight to the group's destination. She checks on both sides of the tunnel again, before beginning to climb up on the wall. Naedragard's eyes get caught by the well build frame of the scout, as her half-covered body ascends into the darkness above.
